Tsinghua University Hi, I’m Ziyan Xiong (熊子言), an undergraduate student at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences, Tsinghua University (a.k.a. Yao Class, named after Andrew Chi-Chih Yao). I have an upcoming internship at UMass Amherst starting on Dec. 1st, advised by Prof. Chuang Gan. My research interests lie in the field of robot learning, specifically, I’m dedicated to developing innovative methodologies for efficient robot learning. I’m currently working on locomotion learning. Previously, I collaborated with Prof. Yang Gao on a project using hierarchy policies with a pre-trained walking policy for multi-agent quadrupedal tasks, and with Prof. Xiaolong Wang on offline-to-online reinforcement learning to solve pick-and-place tasks without learning in simulation. Additionally, I interned at Zhipu AI, working with Dr. Shiyu Huang to develop quadruped robots capable of assisting people through natural language communication.
